There shouold be nothing restrictive about Vista that would prevent you uninstalling or deleting software unless there are admin restrictions on that PC. In VMC 9.3 is an option in Settings for Software conflicts that may be shutting down the Lite program and as there may be two programs trying to manage the modem, this could be part of your problem. Have you managed to use Programs and Features through the control panel to remove 9.3? If so,...

Hello Folks, Firstly 8 miles is a long way! Too far I guess. As someone mentioned, cable loss can easily destroy the benefit of the aerial. My current setup has the dongle up on my chimney stack wrapped in a couple of condoms sealed to the cable, the dongle is connected to a 2 metre extension lead, then to a powered usb hub (to relay/amp the usb signal), and then to a 5m usb extention lead and into my PC upstairs. Downstairs I get no signal,...

3G NOT available in my AREA??!!

A simple check with a 3G enabled handset around the building or area you want to mainly use your 3G datacard beforehand would have told you that coverage wasn't up to scratch indoors. Like others say, your only option would be to put the dongle close to a window. Why don't you buy yourself a USB extension cable if you prefer to use the laptop in a better location and just run a wire close to the window with the 3G Datacard connected?...

Hi I'm trying to find a good outdoor antennae to connect via a 15m cable to a computer in order to get good 3G broadband. The house is too far from the exchange to get adsl, but is 8 miles in line of site to 3G mast. Are there any good external antenna that work specifically with the Vodafone 3G USB modems ? Thanks.

Hi I build Adobe Flash sites that load in content dynamically. Typically a site does the following... Flash sends a request to a php file on a server, the php file quieries a mysql db and returns the data back to Flash via XML format. The XML is simple text about where images are, how many there are, what category your currently looking at etc.. Now, these site all work fine ...

Hi, I am looking at using a Vodafone 3G data card to communicate with our office network, but require an Internet accessible IP (preferably static) to be issued (currently I am issued a 10.x.x.x address). Do vodafone offer such a service? If not, does anyone provider do this? My iphone has an Internet accessible IP, however o2 don't like you using your iPhone as a modem ;-) Chris

Hi Phoenix, I used Celltrack which worked fine on second series Symbian OS phones (like my old Nokia 6680) and came in very handy for doing a spot of network evaluation in the areas I frequently travel before moving to Vodafone last year. http://www.afischer-online.de/sos/celltrack/index. html I did install the Celltrack91 software on my 3rd Gen OS N73 but it's a very ...
