Combination of live action, model work and CG. I highly suggest you watch the appendices that came with the extended versions of the DVDs. A lot of information in there. Also there are some articles on the web about it. I believe they use shake.

Go into your perspective view, right click you object and go into Faces mode, click on one of the faces you already UVed, go back into the UV Editor, right click on the screen and hit UVs. Drag and select the entire square, and move it to the left. Hopefully there should be a face left behind resulting in two faces, one you have ...

I used the hair system for the wires in my Johnny 5 model. I followed this tutorial. Only difference is I took the clumpcurl or spiral out of it. Set the dampening/stiffness/what-have-you and you have some pretty decent wires that follow your objects http://rancie11.blogspot.com/2007/11...hone-cord.h tml

I mainly use a 9x12 intuos3 tablet for modeling since I find it doesn't put as much strain on my hand/wrist, but as such I have limited desk space and it's cumbersome to use a full keyboard for all the shortcuts when I use maybe a third of it at most. First I was looking at something like this with it ...

Greetings uphillcastle! At this time, we do not have Renderman videos. Steve and I have discussed putting some introductory videos together if time permits. Currently, Steve is wrapping up the Maya Character Rigging Tool series, and once complete, if time permits, he'll begin work on an Introductory Renderman series. If this does move forward, I'll make sure to update everyone on 3D Buzz ...

Not bad at all. Better then what I can do. I'm sure it will smooth up nicely. Watch out when you smooth him that the area around the nose, mouth and eyes come out right. Scott
