I wonder if there is more guilt about Nagasaki/Hiroshima. Do people think Luftwaffe = Schutzstaffel? I think Luftwaffe is German, but Schutzstaffel is Nazi.

Plug boot puller tool?
Published (2009-12-11 16:26:00)
On the M44, there is a small blue molded plastic tool for pulling the spark plug boots. It lives in the same little plastic tray that the spark plug boots are in, over by boot #4 (center top of the engine valve cover, between the camshafts, under the rectangular plastic cover that says 'BMW'). You slip it over the plug boot, place the tire alignment pin (71111093774) through the hole on the top, and a quick gentle tug pulls the plug...

Published (2009-12-09 17:32:00)
Yes my heater does give heat. In fact, I cannot use the heater because the windshield will fog up. SO, I am forced to place the air conditioning on low to combat the fogging, HOWEVER, even when I am not using the climate control, there is leakage from behind the pedals. (I always choose the upper vents for distributing temperature controlled air) Last time I traveled, I placed a triple coating of rain-X on the interior of the windshield so...

It does have a central locking system. When you open any lock they all open, and there is a console switch that does the same. Is it possible to have remote door locks without the alarm???

Sounds like you may have a bad lock tumbler. In which case no Key is going to work. When you lock the car from the outside all doors should lock. The tumbler issue is unfortuntely a common issue with the TI. As for why it's called a TI well it goes back to the 2002 ti and essentially it means fun. This label was usually given to the BMW compact models which is what you have. The TI is actually a ...

I don't recall seeing or using anything like that under the spark plug cover. I just changed my plugs a couple weeks ago. If you just need it for changing plugs, you can just pull them right off with a good grip of your hand. Or a gentle one with a pair of channel locks.

That's really odd. I've had mine on and off the car more times than I care to remember and I've never had a problem with it at all. I've always thought the design was pretty elegant.

Try looking it up on realoem.com. Just type in your VIN and it'll tell you what you need. You might also check your water pump, the bearings are known to wear out which causes your belt to vibrate which makes the tensioner chirp.
