so i just got back from an alignment and nothing changed, this problem is still here! i think i may have to take it to a mechanic and see wats up. tires are only a little bigger but not that much bigger so i didnt think there would be any problems there's no damage, but the spring is obviously rubbing the tire

Anyone wanna give me some rep points for starting this? lol - I wish my rep was higher than it is... I don't know how its not honestly! I guess I'm asking more questions than I am giving out tech. Anyway, rear mounts are basic metal shells. There isn't much that could go wrong with them aside from a stripped mounting stud or damaged metal from a car accident. The rear mounts are completely differently built (just basic static...

I'm replacing the drivers side front axle on my TT. When I went to mark the camber bolt on the strut I noticed that it was no where near any of the factory marks on the bolt. it's actually completely on the other side of the washer from the original marks. Is this normal or did it move somehow, or perhaps was installed wrong by previous owner? I've never had one be outside of the marks before. ...

Question 1: Given that diagram it says to line up the holes between the two strut spring seats. Well what happens if you don't have them lined up exactly right? Say 1/3" to 1/2" inch off? You should be able to spin the bearing. It'll have resistance, but you should be able to turn it with 1 finger. If it does not turn, it's frozen and has to be replaced.

I'm looking at some 19x10 wheels and want to run it by everyone in regards to fitment. I used the offset calculator with the stock 8.5 width wheel with 46 offset and the 10 width wheel with 35 offset. Inner clearance is 8 mm less and the outer position is 30 mm more. Would the inner clearance drop cause rubbing or is that enough room?

Whats the easiest way to strip off the powder coating from my wheels?? Right now i'm using some sort of aero-craft paint stripper and basically globbing it on and then covering it with syran-wrap (sp) and letting it be absorbed into the powdercoating, this is causing it to become "mushy" after 15-20min then i am able to scrap it off. Only problem is it takes multiple coats and i've realized this...

I've recently cracked one of these wheels. So I need to find out what kind they are to possibly buy another one and sell as a set. I know they are American Racing wheels, but I don't know type. I've taken it to a dealer of American Racing and they said the have no idea being that they are now discontinued. Wheels are in sig.
