Yeah it is an 18 spline, so now I have to try to find someone to trade me an 18 spline for my 25 spline...

If you remove the clutch booster lines and the little bottle under the front radiator support then it will be pretty hard.

Gray Vs Blue slave cylinders and...
Published (2009-12-18 04:23:00)
Id be interested to know what the difference is on the na and turbo master cylinder volume output. After i did my awd swap i just used the grey slave cause it was there along with the na master. kinda prefer a stiff clutch. I too agree the discernible difference between the two is prob. marginal, my experience any time i mess with the clutch the pedal is so soft compared to before (new grease where the old was displaced maybe?)

I have spoke with jack trans and he can convert my trans if i send him a few parts. I am going to use a upgraded output shaft (hoping the groupe buy on the quadico shafts go's through) If not i will get a 300m shaft

W5mg1 end play

Should there be any end play on the output shaft of the w5mg1 tranny? If so How much? The ouput shaft is the center diff. shaft that connects to the transfer case.

hmmmmm so investing in the pully wouldnt be too smart then, but a lightweight flywheel. I think the stock flywheel weighs something like close to 20 pounds, and then ive seen some that were like 12 pounds, but once my christmas break is over then ill do my clutch

18 vs 25 spline
Published (2009-12-26 23:50:00)
If you did indeed put an 18 spline on and left a 25 spline Transfer Case on, then that's your problem. The car won't move, and it will feel like it has a slipping clutch because the 18spline shaft is just spinning inside of the 25 spline transfer case.

Tc Blew
Published (2009-12-18 20:29:00)
When i called the mitsubishi dealer near me they told me that i would have to call dodge to get the tc replaced. When i called the dodge dealer they told me that they didn't think that it was an open recall and that there was no way for them to get a tc. I think that he was B.S'n me and then he said that i would have to talk to someone else that was there to see if it was an open recall. When he transfered the call to him no one...

How cold is it where you live? One of the shift cables could have frozen. Open the hood and spray WD40 or simular on shift cables while someone is shifting thru all gears. Also remove inside shifter boot and do the same. May not be problem , but won't hurt anything. Did clutch padal feel stiff or mushy? If it happens again try shifting with the engine shut off. If you can shift with the engine ...

Thats happened to me twice, the car will begin to spin out like a RWD, but within a second, i start to feel the front wheels grab traction and straighten out the car. Maybe its time for a new trans? the xfer case only sends power to the rear.

well first of all that requires removing the trans/clutch/flywheel. once thats out you carefully pull the old seal and press the new one back in making sure the spring on the seal lip doesnt come off.
