I genearrly advise clients they need to save 1.5 - 2%. Rates are at a 37 year low. If you are going to refi, now is the time. Give me a call to discusee your situation.

Tax Question - Please respond
Published (2009-01-08 09:38:00)
I am i correct in saying that our stimulus check has no effect when filing this years taxes. I was under the impression that it didn't. My buddy was filing his taxes online and one of the last questions was if he received a stimulus check. He clicked yes and it subtracted $600 from this years refund. Did he just not do something right or what. I'm an accountant (not tax accountant) and this one threw me for a loop.

rule-of-thumb............. unless you improve your current rate by at least 2% (fixed) it's not worth a refi don't forget to ask about lower rates for a 15 year fixed refi'd my mom's condo for'er once and and went from 30/yr to 15/yr and her payments were close to the same at a 2% improvement......... also made about quarter-mil $aving$ over the term of the loan

Any predictions for 2009? I think we have a terrible first half of the year and then we start to claw our way out - or at least I hope we do!

GM and Chrysler will get 9.4 billion and 4 billion respectively. I’m glad to see the bailout was passed for the stock and bond holder’s sake but I think that it was not in the best interest of the companies. They should have let them go into a “controlled bankruptcy” so they could get rid of the union element that is destroying them. Toyota makes a fine automobile without the union and I don’...

Funny video from Market Place especially since it is considered the nuclear option we are presently performing on our Monterey system. I wonder if Bernanke thesis is comparable to curing a drunk with whiskey? http://vimeo.com/2606496

WOW! This last week was absolutely crazy. We hit historical lows in mortgage rates. We were locking clients at 4.625% 30 yr fixed on Wednesday. I just wanted to offer some advice to fellow 2coolers on the financial benefits to refinancing. Here is one example: A client called in and had a loan balance of $290,000 and a rate of 6.750% with Private Mortgage insurance. He said I need to ...
