Gator, I knew you didn't interpret what I was saying. I could tell by your responses. I am for even across the board regulations. Please go back and read what I wrote. CCA is out to save what saves them the most, the man with the 30k boat wearing all the CCA clothing. The fish needs a rest so give it a complete rest. Answer one question of mine......just one. lets keep the thread about CCA and their action on flounder. i created this thread to voice opinion on the action.. i vote for CCA to urge TPWD on closing for three months on commericial and recreational. if they want to do something..then go all the way and not hold back. in the past redfish were in the same picture and they did drastic change on limits which in turns out to be great redfish numbers now.

Me and a couple of friends have planned a trip to the upper laguna madre next weekend (1/15-1/18). The plan is to do a little duck hunting in the mornings and then fish all day. I had a buddy of mine give me Furuno GPS. Needs a little refurbishing. I'm sure it was one of the expensive ones, he always buys the best stuff. Is it worth having it refurbished, if at all possible. From looking at it, a new screen (cover) and some transducer work. Not much of anything really. If so, is there a local place in Houston that could do it?

Anyone out there have informaton on any of the piers being rebuilt? I lived on them fishing under the lights at night. Spent most of my time on TCD pier. Even had a yearly pass for this one. Any info please.

There they were again. Right out of Bayland Park in Baytown in the middle of the channel leading out were two kayakers. We were only 30 -40 yards away and barely see them. No lights or nothing. Their way of indicating the location was yelling or playing radio loud. We heard one of them yelling at boaters idleing by. Just an observation here but I am sure I am not the only one to notice. Not only has the physical size of the magazine shrank but the content has dwindled as well. In the December issue the are only 65 pages compaired to Novembers 96. Of those 65 pages in the December issue there are only 18 pages of content with out advertisement compaired to Novembers 49 out of 96 pages. Please do not get me ...
