1src Forums - NVBackup question...
Published (2009-12-23 12:00:00)
I have been using NV Backup automatically everyday on my Treo 755p for the past 2+ years. Recently, I moved from Alltel to Sprint and had to purchase a new 755p. The first 10 or 11 days the BU took 24 minutes to BU about 32MB. Suddenly yesterday, that same task took 11 minutes. Nothing has changed in my setup or prefs. I am not using LightSpeed or anything else to overclock. While I did a selective restore initially to transfer prc. and pdb....

Google Voice for PalmOS

I don't want to hijack this thread, so quick-like ... mytreo.net is back up for a short (and final) run. Anyone interested in this app should go capture that forum for offline reference going forward. Google Voice thread: http://mytreo.net/forum/index.php/topic,68662.0.html Apt thread: http://mytreo.net/forum/index.php/topic,67386.0.html There are many more to catch before they're gone!

I have problems updating via hotsync (it crashes), but no problem with wireless update via router. Icons are missing in 4cast itself, though (I get a "N/A" blue star icon), but appear ok in DateBk (plugin).

Shimon... you provide an excellent model of customer service. But even so, I think all of us realize that you can't keep doing this forever. Just know that whenever you decide that enough is enough, we absolutely have appreciated your support! Steve

Hi all, Yahoo changed their website format again, so 4cast reaches 1.96 version. Also contains a fix for converting barometric pressure in metric units (millibars). Existing users - get the update at http://www.shsh.com/4cast New users - you can download a full featured 30 days trial there, too. Thanks.

Hi, Alex!
There is one being developed: Gvoice
I just installed the latest version of it and and it works. I encourage people to try it and make a donation to the developer.
Gvoice authenticates to your Google Voice account one time. After that, when you dial your contact's phone number, it apparently sends the information to your GV account which dials back to your cell phone, ...

You should be able to do a selective restore of your apps &/or data, but you'll likely lose the settings for your apps, as I seem to recall that they are stored in the devices preferences file & I would NOT restore one device's prefs to another.

It's a leftover from a program you installed on your T5. Several programs (myKbd and others by A. Pruss among them) use installers that are essentially an unpacker (the "Package Installer" you saw) and the actual PRC and PDB files that make up the actual program. Once the program is installed the package installer is left behind. You can safely delete it.

Count me in! I left this in another thread, but thought it would be best to repeat it in the "official" thread.
