It would seem that you have a perfect gun, and for only $1,000. Why would you complain? Why should they polish someplace that no one can see, other than to turn a $1,000 gun into a $1,025 gun?

I put the Wilson HC in my

Here's what I use on my Ultra and it also works simply and smoothly. It costs more - just giving info on a tool that works for me.

The link to
the 2nd one won't come up, but the only thing unique to the Kimber bag is that it has Kimber's name on it. Just like any other manufacture that sells a branded bag.

Swann,
To the best of my knowledge the only 3" Kimber with a steel frame is the SIS model, all others are alloy frames. For what ever it's worth 25 ounces is what the lightweight 3" guns weigh and that's about all I want on my hip for any
length of time. All of the "Ultras" have a double spring recoil system and IMHO the best way to disassemble is with the "Ultratool".

LoboGunleather,
It certainly sounds like you know Kimbers. I have just recently purchased a
CDP Ultra. I can't get the slide stop to come out, it's very tight. Is this just because it's new or is this typical for these guns?
