Thanks for the review guysmith. The quality sounds first rate. Please keep us posted about the comfort level over extended periods. And of course pictures would be cool once you get a camera.

Vests are something I'd be careful about. Maybe it's just me, but to me, they just scream "GUN". Also, depending on where you're from, they also don't really fit in. They just seem too redneck or fisherman-like if you are in any major city. I'd consider the open button shirt option first. They blend in to almost any environment, and it's not too hard to hide most handguns under those.

As others how have replied, I'm similar in build at about 5'10 and 160 lbs. The smaller frame will be easier to conceal but it's not a huge difference. I used to carry either one and the only difference is that the full size frame Kimber I carry is all steel so the weight is more than the officers framed 4" Kimber I carry. My Pro is now bobtailed so the frame conceals better then the officers. However, I don't wear...

My current "cannot live without" item for CC is suspenders. They allow a much looser belt and just a great supportive feel. I can wear my pants comfortably a little higher;and, not have to keep hiking up my pants. Yes,I am shaped like an apple.

Well it's been four days of wearing the Monarch with the Champion in it. First I have to say that I suffer from a bulged disc at T-6/T-7. Which is right were the center of the harness sits. Every other shoulders holsters has given me problems with the weight bearing squarely on you guessed it T-6/T-7. NOT the Monarch. For some reason this rig doesn't bear the weight at the cross piece. I have been playing with the harness...

I see a lot of nice stuff, especially at the NRAstore.com as far as Concealed carry jeans, shirts, jackets and vests and even underware. I am considering a CC Vest but since I carry a mid size (4") 357 magnum revolver I am concerned that it will be obvious if one side of the vest droops lower than the other. I prefer more power so I carry a heavy Ruger. As Patrick Sweeny says, more is better ...

Nice. Thanks for sharing!
I checked their web site. It looks like they can set up most of their holsters in multiple ways that affect how high or low your pistol will ride. I like that flexibility.

My waist is 34 and I have a EX, WS-1, SS-II and VM-2. I like to wear my belt about 1" loose and find that the VM-2 keeps the gun just a bit closer to my body. The VM-2 is flatter and wraps around the body better. Of the holsters mentioned the VM-2 is molded more to the outer pouch (my example is about 60/40, the others are more 50/50). They all hold the gun giver or take to the same depth.

Not a clue in the world, but that is a fugly little sight. Could it be a homemade/shop-made job in a Heinie cut? Not sure, but the best way to find out what cut is to take it to someone who has the tools to measure the cut.

Carrying IWB, I think you are going to find that the barrel length isn't going to matter much if any at all.
The hard part to conceal is the grip frame, so an Officer's model would be easier to hide than a Commander or full sized Gov't model.
Additionally, thin grips will help, perhaps considerably.
And having a small waist is better. When your shoulders are wider than your waist, ...

I have one on the rear of my EMP (.140) along with a Novak gold dot front sight. The combo works well if there is enough light to see your target.

Many, many fine holsters out there. I'm partial to Alessi and John Ralston (5 Star), others I'm sure will post there favorites.

You only have to look as far as the "Official Holstermakers Thread" that is stickied at the top of the holsters page. Check the sixth picture in that thread. Posted by carljc72 and www.ccholsters.com and shows a nice snap-on holster and matching double mag holder!!!
