The hub should only contact the pressure plate during slipper mode. The 'recommended clearance' is between the hub and the pressure plate when clutch is engaged. The wear from the hub contacting the plate is inside the working surface where the fibres sit.

have the motion pro, hate it (as some others indicated as well). Even griding the ends of the ml. the push pins are flimsy and break, and the damn thing just takes a long time to assemble. Got the RK after using from someone else and like it much better. It does make the job a bit easier to dremel the ends of the ml off. If the engine has been sitting for an extended period of time, then I'd run it for a while and re-test. I've seen plenty of spark plugs that look like that, but the internals are fine. I also just had a race Hawk engine come thru here that similar-looking plugs, and both cylinders were corroded. 1 cleaned up ok, the other had to be replaced because it was pitted badly. The owner was running non-oxygenated fuel, but I still basically...

on my bike (cbr600rr), that hole was blocked off by the gasket that came with the APE tensioner. dunno if your's is the same. also, i found that setting the chain as loose as they recommended (1/4-1/3" if i remember correctly?) made a big racket and i ended up adjusting it by sound. basically, just warm the bike up and turn it in just enough to where it stops sounding like marbles rattling in ...

Isn't the 120 and 180 the width. It's in mm. just convert them. the 180 is just over 7 in and the 120 is just under 5in. Add a few to the height. Say 20in. All they need is a ball park.

I'll probably be corrected by those who know more, but I think for SS classes if the RB doesn't say you can, than you can't. So, if the RB is silent on master cylinders, then you must retain the stock unit. BTW - tech probably won't won't catch the master cylinder. Perhaps post-race tech, but not the thing we go thru in the morning. Maybe a competitor will protest you, maybe an ...

I've got the Motion Pro kit (a bit flimsy) which I bring to the track with me but in the shop I use a few different heavier duty chain tools. You mean monocoque? Using a monocoque frame doesn't preclude the use or need of a subframe. To answer your question, I'd imagine manufacturing a frame that included the subframe as one piece would be considerably more expensive. It'd also make repairs after a wreck a real bitch. How many here have had to replace a subframe? I think it would truly suck if that was actually part of the frame.

I make/made a "tool" out of the old bearing inner race. I hand grind the inner diameter enough so that the "tool" will slide over the stem far enough to seat the new bearing. I have some steel pipe/s of different inside diameters and lengths (for different stem sizes) but I also keep as spares every old bearing I've ever removed (except for repeats) to use as "press pieces". You can hammer...

FWIW....OEM pistons are very good. I would go OEM pistons and a thinner headgasket and degree the cams. I also bought Wiesco pistons in the past and don't remember them being cheaper than OEM.
