Plex 0.8.5
Published (2009-11-27 06:37:00)
I think you might have to go with the way you are planning. The way you have it, is the way it would work in my system, which oddly enough is the way it works in reality! I just installed 0.8.5. They changed the way you can quit the app, from pressing the menu button in the main menu, and the pop up coming up, to holding the button and going to the Quit menu option. Also, when you pause a non streaming feature, it will tell you when it should...

Thanks for the advice SC. The movies are already in separate folders and added as separate sources, but Plex seems to throw them all together in the 'movies' view. The 'Videos' view follows the folder structure but doesn't have the nice fanart, descriptions etc. (unless I'm missing something?). I was also thinking of creating a separate profile 'kids' and leaving out the kids movies source in my main...

On my Samsung I can assign different inputs "labels" to each physical input. My problem was solved when I assigned "PC" to HDMI#1. So see if you have the same options. Overscan will fill the screen. Use DVD player and not front row. When I move the mouse to the top or bottom of the screen, the toolbars appear. Well a few days ago I decided to hook up my mini to use as an HTPC which has been doing wonderful. Shortly after i realized watching blu-ray movies from my external HD, i was getting a jumpy image on certain wide angle fast motion scenes. With a few helpers on this forum, my solution was to simply upgrade my 1.86 ghz cpu. So today I was doing some xmas shopping, I came across the home entertainment center over at an electronics place and...

Sounds strange. I have my mini's optical out connected to an Onkyo SR-706 and never had any problems. Have you checked sound preferences to make sure mute is not selected in any of the settings? Also worth checking is the Applications » Utilities folder. Use the Properties For drop-down to choose Optical Out, and then down in the Audio Output section. If it says 96KHz, try ...

Hello! I have a 2009 mini 2.0 mini with 1gb ram with 42LH30 1080p I read a lot during a week to understand how to use switchresx, displayconfig etc. It's a big pain to have the mini working at 1080p fiting the screen completely. Are you booting up the TV first or the Mini first? My friend had an RCA that was exhibiting a simialr problem where the Mac had to be turned on first, but this solution only lasted a few days until the TV stopped worknig with his mini altogether. Try using the TV without the Mini for a few days and see if the TV boots up without any issues or the 10 blinks. Maybe try plugging in the Mac ...

First thing I noticed, is that the install fails if you are not using your Admin account, which I normally don't use. So I had to copy the installer from my download folder under my ID to the public drop folder on the Admin ID, then log on as Admin and then it installed. After guessing my way...
