Hey Johnny, You should have read the book a bit closer...you didn't need to remove the front end or disassemble the rear to pull the engine.

Fellas the damn thing goes faster with an engine in it. Xsmartass out. I know it's easier after you've removed engine a few times. However, is there a method to marking wires/bolts/nuts/etc. for those of us with major memory lapses? or is there a sticky I can't find?

No telling what is broke until it comes apart. The BAD NEWS is any chips or pieces that broke off the trans parts had a chance to circulate through your entire engine while you rode it home. Yes the engine needs to come apart. Yes any year trans will fit. No, do not "trim" your forks. You NEED to install the updated forks and shift actuator. You can do it without a stand. The ...

Octane booster will do nothing for you or your mileage. Nothing wrong with 91 octane. I was getting low 20's for mileage with my old 1350 and hope just to get 20 with the new engine.

The dealer is going to make a case for a set of new head assy's, as the trouble is in the frt, head this seems to be the best and most certain fix. There will be someone from the factory there this next week to see it. I'll get a call when he blesses, and caresses the decision.
